A view from the deck….

We are often treated to beautiful sunsets, the sounds of cows and roosters, mountain views and sounds of wind blowing through the next door cornfields.

“Sing to the Lord a new song: sing to the Lord all the earth.” Psalm 96:1

We moved from our home of 40 years to a new home in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, December 2019. The new year started with enthusiasm and excitement as my husband & I were anxious to get involved in the neighborhood and community. But then 2020 showed everyone what it had in store……

Even though we have not done as much as we had hoped, we still live on a great country road with wonderful neighbors and we love our new town. Besides working on our blank slate of a yard, we’ve also spent lots of time indoors. No kidding!

But… that has given me lots of time to sew! I have a great hubby, 2 great sons that come to visit every once in awhile, and now a place that I can get as messy as I want while I get back to all those unfinished projects and work on new ideas I’ve had for years. I also do some longarm quilting for clients. Check out the Client page to see some of the amazing quilts I’ve worked on.

I actually dabble in lots of “hands on” activities - so besides my sewing and quilting, you may see gardening, cooking, decorating, felting on the “News” page………. and I love to share what I am doing! I love color, love the countryside and will see if I love to stay organized enough to keep these pages going!
