Last 2020 top quilted shortly before Christmas. Beautiful quilt with shades of blues. Pantograph design “AM Turbulence ”. Thread - So Fine 50 #451 Blizzard

We decided to give the quilt lots of texture by using the “Drunken’ Feathers” pantograph. Don’t you just want to run your hand over the quilt?! Thread - So Fine 50 #435 It’s a Boy

This was the first quilt made by a lovely young woman while being a college student. The top was so well made!

This top was made by one of my new friends in our new community. She is well known for making and giving her quilts away :) This one was to go to her son - a cozy throw to watch tv in the winter.

I custom quilted this top for a good friend and great applique quilter. She does all applique by hand using the blanket stitch around fused appliques. I’ve quilted several of her tops and each time I let it sit for awhile until I get up the nerve to work on such well-done tops! This was going to a grandson who plays the fife at Colonial Williamsburg, VA. Below it are several close-ups of some of the blocks.

Here is another top I had for almost 1 1/2 years before quilting it! The friend told me to do whatever I liked. Yikes! , Was I ever intimidated. I actually asked her if I could move with it. I wanted to see what I could do. She trusted me! When the first 2020 lockdowns came into being, I decided to tackle this quilt. Custom free motion and ruler techniques were used.

This friend loves Thimbleberry fabrics and used many to make this on-point sampler top. Each of the many machine appliqued or pieced blocks are different. She placed them with alternating “empty” blocks that needed some quilting. Custom free-motion and ruler techniques.

The following top was made by the daughter of the previous Thimbleberry quilt. They love quilting together - what a lovely thing for mom & daughter :)

This simple top looks stunning on the bed.

I was checking the back when I took it off the longarm frame. Lots of texture because of the “Drunken’ Feathers” pantograph used.

2 sets of winter placemats: one set of 4 with black & white backing; one set of 4 with red & black backing. Love the cardinals. Free motion quilting with blowing snowflakes.

Two of my favorite quilters love color!! My husband & I made several trips to our previous town during 2020 for pick-ups and deliveries.
